Require assistance in tracking down excerpts from Byron's \ Memoirs (which were subsequently burnt) - I recall seeing it somewhere but forget where - it's not in Moore's Letters, or Journals ed. Dowden; nor is it in Marchand's Ltrs (12 vol's).

I recall reading them some years ago, but the black-hole of memory seems to have swallowed them up.

It's probably in some appendix somewhere.

Your help would be appreciated.

Dan

Hi again

Have subsequently found them - they are in B's Prose, in the fragments (4 of them). I knew I had seen them somewhere, but had forgotten where.

The big question is, are there more anecdotes out there, i.e Washington Irving (Moore had lent him a copy in Paris).
