Hi. I am from West Virginia, USA and have been a huge Byron fan for most of my life. I discovered him when I was 12, while reading a biography on Shelley. That was it. I was smitten. I had a picture of him on my wall that I copied out of an old Library book. My friends made fun of me for it. Until now, I have never been around so many Byron lovers. It is sooo exciting!
I love to meet any or all of you.

Welcome Lady with the controversial nickname. (Too many people eager to jeer at Lady Byron!).

You can meet many Byron lovers in Beirut this summer. I suppose you won't miss that chance: Lebanon is not too far away from West Virginia after all!

I too had a postcard of his lordship on my wall, whereas my contemporaries had 'Aha' and 'Bros' - it was the 1980s. Good grief, the very thought!
My portrait(s) of LB followed me to university, and I still have the Albanian costume portrait in my living room - A3 size reproduction from the National Portrait Gallery.
I also have a tattoo, which is the same image as my avatar. Underneath the portrait is the last line of 'Maid of Athens' in Greek. I have tried to upload a photo and failed, (file too big) but will email a photo should you wish to view it...
