Hello all i'm Jason i'm 22 and I adore poetry. Obviously Byron is one of my favourites including Keats, Blake, Rimbaud and Eliot.
I'm a student and also write poetry myself.

I've loved Byron's poetry since my 20's, too, but it's taken me the past 15 years to know him as a person.

If you are interested in knowing him, read very few biographies because most did not have access to information that has become available recently and the authors have their own (often nasty) agendas. Some of them are just really lazy and crib everything from the last book published.

Go for Byron's Letters and Journals edited by Leslie Marchand, the two books by Doris Langley Moore, Byron's Bulldog (the other half of a conversation in letters with his friend John Cam Hobhouse) and Byron's Corbeau Blanc - the letters of his other correspondent, Lady Melbourne. All should be available in a good library.
