The long-running poetry strand 'Poetry Please' is
dedicating an entire show to Lord Byron's poem 'Childe Harold's Pilgrimage',
to mark the 200th anniversary of its publication. Presented by Roger
McGough, the show will feature extracts of the poem chosen by listeners,
along with stories and anecdotes about the way the poem has influenced or
affected people's lives.
The half-hour show will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday 1st July at
4.30pm, and then repeated the following Saturday 7th July at 11.30pm. It
will also be available to listen again at your leisure for one week, on the
BBC's online iPlayer, which can be found by following the link below:
