Today is the release date for the Guiccioli Lord Byron s Life In Italy -edited by Peter Cochran, I believe. Has anyone perused a copy yet? Would love to hear opinions on it till I am able to secure a copy. Not available through any distributors for the main bookselling branches here locally- but I suppose I could order it direct from The University of Delaware Press. -deseingalt

deseingalt, I was able to ask Peter Cochran about this, and he says the book is not yet ready. I may be able to ask him more detail tomorrow. So hang on in there. 8) Elizabeth

The book is coming off the press and we hope it will be available soon this year (2005). There will be a launch on April 12th somewhere in London, with the Byron Society there.

Peter Cochran.

Dr Cochran, you've been busy at your replies on your first day-- glad to see you've made the party at last.

Kudos to you in your address to the 'fag hag' thread-- it is about time, I think, that a Byron scholar had the big dangling bollocks to state plainly that Byron was bisexual. I am worn out from people reflecting their personal comfort levels onto him when I would argue for honest scholarship.

You can query if Shakespeare was bisexual,
But a hetero Byron seems contractual.
